Introducing | John Newman

We posted something way, way back about John Newman, since then things have really started to take shape. After singing on Rudimental’s $mash Feel The Love and new soon to be hit Not Giving In Newman has really been putting in the hours.

Growing up in Settle, Yorkshire, Newman began penning his own songs when he was just 14 after learning to DJ and produce he eventually left to London when he was 20 (he’s only 21 years old now).

Now signed to Island Records and readying the debut album we’ve had small tasters of what is to offer. Stay The Night is a beautiful organic guitar number taking influences from Otis Redding which certainly shows. If you haven’t become acquainted with the voice behind this year’s Summer then now is your chance. Next year is going to be big for John Newman, bringing soul back.
